I didn’t learn mine from working at a desk in a big corporate, or from courses and books. The most valuable lessons I learnt were being a tour guide in Central and Eastern Europe for three years.
I learnt about: building rapport and connection, setting expectations, establishing personal boundaries, solving problems, delegating, making do with what you have, keeping within budget, decision making, customer service, diversity, continuous improvement, accountability, communication, remote working, and having fun!
