The book I am writing had transitioned from a solo effort (hiding away on my own for weeks at a time trying to fucus), to a team project. A team is defined as a collection of people with a shared purpose who are reliant on each other, and that’s exactly what we are. In addition to me, the primary author, we have 3 x contributing authors, around 10 x peer reviewers, publishers and proofers. I’m enjoying this phase much more as I can bounce ideas around, assess options, and solicit opinion. While accountability in meeting publishers deadlines and requirements remains with me, the burden is shared, and the end result will be much better quality.
