Last week I shared an apple tree analogy of Prof David Clutterbuck's High Performing Team PERILL model. To grow the apples that stakeholders need, HPT’s need six elements: the right leadership, clear purpose, strong relationships, learning and continuous improvement, and good internal and external processes. The team I am using this analogy with it could totally relate. They also suggested in the real world HPT’s experience some rotten apples, some wastage, possums and other critters eating the fruits of their labour, not to mention strong winds knocking apples off the tree. So, HPT’s need a seventh element "resilience". Thanks Gary Connolly, Gary Thomass, Jennifer Edwards, Zoltan Varadi, Tertia du Plooy, Evan Myers – we've just created a new HPT model together - very happy to be learning with you!
