I am working with a team at the moment who are negotiating what they need from their leader to enable them to be great leaders. Unfortunately there is no prescription for great leadership. It is all about the right type of leadership for the situation/circumstances/environment, and you won't know what that looks like unless you talk about it. Scary stuff right… especially if you are the leader! Fortunately the leader of this team is very open and the team has high psychological safety. And the team know this negotiation approach is critical to develop High Performing Teamwork.

Maybe family traditions, cultural traditions, personal rituals? All these things are really important. They give you a sense of meaning, belonging, purpose and spirituality. They help you understand your place in the world. Given the challenging year we have had they are even more important right now. My family is of German decent and we spend advent (the month before Christmas) baking and munching on delicious nutting and spicy cookies. I keep up the tradition (see picture below for this years baking efforts) and share widely with family and friends.
