Tough times in Australasia at the moment. Having some structure and reflection in your day will help you and your team get through it. I often give my client the structured journal below (thanks MiGoals). You can use this yourself, and/or try sharing this with your team. Ask them to spend the first few minutes of a team meeting reflecting on what they are grateful for and their priorities, then share with each other. This works really well virtually too. Take care and stay safe.

(If you would like me to send you a bigger version of the journal page that you can see :-) get in touch)

I didn’t learn mine from working at a desk in a big corporate, or from courses and books. The most valuable lessons I learnt were being a tour guide in Central and Eastern Europe for three years.

I learnt about: building rapport and connection, setting expectations, establishing personal boundaries, solving problems, delegating, making do with what you have, keeping within budget, decision making, customer service, diversity, continuous improvement, accountability, communication, remote working, and having fun! I could be describing some of your leadership development areas couldn’t I?

If you would like to work through applying life experience to leadership capability, please get in touch. Grow to be the best you can be…

No wait, I actually live in paradise. New Zealand is without doubt one of the most naturally beautiful places in the world. But I don't mean that. We have pretty good health, education and justice systems with equal access to all. There are no excuses here... we can grow into anything we wat to do and into anyone we want to be. All we need is motivation, hard work and someone supporting us.

If you would like to talk more about how you or your team can grow to be the best you can be, get it touch. Lets talk about paradise!
