Team Coaching is super relevant in our VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous) world. Hybrid working is more common than not and teams need to from rapidly to match the demands of their environment. Team coaching also builds team and individual resilience, helping teams prepare for and navigate change.

So proud to be part of a successful ICF event last week along with fellow team coaches Helene Deschamps PCC, Alyson Keller (PCC, ICF), Bruce Herbert, Nic Preddle, hosted by the NZ branch Mariska Du Preez and Kate Birch. In the experiential event hybrid participants were emersed in a scenario requiring them to rapidly create the conditions for team success. Well done everyone involved! (And thank you Prof. David Clutterbuck for the use of your emerging work on rapid teaming).

If you would like to know more please contact me or any of the team coaches above.

The trees behind me (curtesy of my current stunning central Otago location) are shedding their leaves and consolidating - ready to rest over winter. In spring they will come back to life with beautiful blossoms, then work hard all summer growing and producing fruit, then rest again. The trees work in clear cycles.

Observing nature teaches us that building rest into our routine is critical – rest and regeneration time is just as important as peak production time. Yet, I have many clients who struggle to step out of BAU, back-to-back meetings, and their “full on” daily grind, and feel guilty when they do.

If you or your team would benefit from clear and acceptable cycles of work, and rest and regeneration, please get in touch. Let's work it through.

I love mountains and cold weather - definitely a winter person. In my happy place this week recharging and replenishing (Mount Cook is there in the background, hiding behind the clouds today...) We can't be the best version of ourselves and support others unless self-care is a priority.

Where is your happy place? How do you recharge? How do you take care of yourself?

If you would like to build more self-care in your and your team's routine please get in touch. Happy place = self-care = wellbeing!
